Seeds - The Beginning of a Plant
Learn how plants begin by studying the structure of seeds and their containers. Participants will examine the internal and external structure of a variety of seeds, experiment with different travel methods of seeds, and learn what seeds need in order to grow. Optional: Add $1.50 per student to plant their own seed to take home.
Length: 60 minutes

Out on a Limb - Leaf and Branch Structures
Examine, compare, and sort leaves from a variety of trees while discussing the function of their features. Study the buds, leaf scars, and old growth on branches from a variety of trees. Then, use a key to identify the leaves and branches.

Itsy Bitsy Travel - Explore Things Found on a Forest Floor
Join the Itsy Bitsy Bug while she travels around the forest floor and meets both plants and animals. Examine real examples of what she encounters, including live animals, and discuss their function in a healthy forest.

What big teeth you have
